180 fishermen on the Nile have economic empowerment through sustainable plastic collection, and creating over 11 new jobs in local Nile communities. We equip locals with environmental, health & safety training, literacy programs, and skill development. We continuously implement new projects to answer the needs of local communities while building more resilient societies.
Transparency of The Process
Through an application developed and managed by our partners at Takatari, every kg of plastic collected by our fishermen is traced from the picking location to the recycling factory.
The application provides data on: Location of the plastic removed Number of kg and kind of plastic Revenues earned by every fisherman Segregation and compacting process Quantities recycled by our partners.
